Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with an accounting background to join our organization. The accountant’s responsibilities will include preparing and posting entries to the general ledger, performance of internal controls, supporting the Company’s external auditor, duties in connection with month-end-close, and assisting in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reporting (both internal and external).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping (accounts payable, prepaid expenses, expense accruals, payroll and benefits, cash treasury, expense reimbursement)
  • Participate in month-end close, including recording journal entries to ensure appropriateness of period end accounting
  • Perform internal controls accurately and timely; examples include account reconciliations, validating completeness and accuracy of systems interfaces
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of internal reporting used by FP&A, Company leadership, and Board of Directors
  • Support/facilitate exchange of information to Company’s external auditor
  • Assist with the implementation of information systems (e.g. ERP, expense, financial reporting) as Company grows

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant
  • 1 – 2+ years of public accounting or industry experience
  • Experience with Sarbanes Oxley and Internal Controls
  • SEC reporting experience (either preparer, auditor, advisory)
